Brief info: Gamespot is a site that reviews videogame games, and also rates them.
Super Mario Galaxy 2 is the new game from the Wii console and has already stunned thousands of players. From all of the games ever, I only saw 3 games being awarded a 10 (from 10 being the max). Super Mario Galaxy is one of the three. Frankly, I never expected that a game in Wii would get a 10. Wii is fun, but not really compares with the quality of the other two big consoles. I love the game "Super Smash Bros. Brawl" I beat easily J.P. who has the game, but still, I wouldn't give a 10 to it. I admit that I never played Super Mario Galaxy 2, but I highly doubt that it is better than Smash. The game is based on Mario (who else?), who is in outer space and has to beat bowser again, but this time with the help of rockets and outer space aliens. Yoshi also appears (like in all the other mario single player games), and helps mario beat the other bosses. I think that the idea of this game is great, but quite honestly, the main story of mario beating bosses around the globe, or in this case the universe, to save peach or some other poor victim, has gotten quite repetitive. I wish they created new stories, with more history or backround.

Gears of War 3
Gears of War 1 is one of my favorite games for xbox360 (as you can see in my list on the right ->), for its amazing graphics and intriguing story. In the game, this alien race called Locust has invaded the Earth and has dominated some territory. This elite quad from the COG (Coalition of Ordered Governments) composed of 4 main soldiers have the mission to destroy and eliminate all Locust population. Although the story might seem somewhat non-creative, what calls most of the players attention is the details that are put into the story. Details that explain the life of the soldiers, like for example the soldier Cole, was a player from NFL (National Football Legue), which explains his massive size. The game also has a great variety of choices throughout the game, that enable you to choose which path you wish to go through (even though both end up in the same place).
The second game of the franchise was very fun and also very detailed, but a bit repetitive towards the first game. It brought new weapons and new enemies, but I still think that it wasn't enough to exceed the expectations. At least the story should be more original then the typical "kill everything in site".
Still, I think that the third game of the series should be a bit better than the previous one. For one thing, they put more time into creating the game, since the release date for it will only be April 5 of 2011. Also, I think that from the first game until now, there has been some improvement in the graphic quality from the games, so I think that the graphics from the game that were already good, will get even better.

The Top 25 Games for Xbox (by IGN)
I was looking for more games that I could talk about, but instead, I thought it would be better to talk about IGN's new top 25 games list, and give my opinion about it. So here it goes:25. Dead Space24. Lost Odyssey23. Dead Rising22. Shadow Complex21. NHL 1020. Moder Warfare 219. Virtua Fighter 5 Online18. Left 4 Dead17. Fifa 1016. Forza 315. Rock Band 214. Geometry Wars13. Borderlands12. Halo Wars11. Halo 3: ODST10. Gears of War9. Braid8. Bioshock7. The Orange Box6. Halo 35. GTA IV4. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion3. Fallout 32. Modern Warfare (COD4)1. Mass EffectGreat, so now time for a personal review. Frankly, I have never heard of some games (even though I am a quite big fan of video games and Xbox). Games such as Mass Effect, Braid, Geometry Wars, Borderlands, Shadow Complex, Dead Rising, Lost Odyssey and Dead Space. Still, from the movie that gave a little brief taste of the games... some of them are not my type. Games such as Dead Rising, The Orange Box and Left 4 Dead are zombie games, which I am not very fond of. Also, I think that IGN might be too fanatic about Halo. I mean, halo apears in the list three times, being that the only different thing between them is the gameplay. I think they had a lack of creativity.
Most of all, how could they lower so much MW2 (modern warfare 2)?? Borderlands from what I saw in the movie is a WORSE copy of it, and it is 7 positions ranked above than it. Maybe they think that it is hard (which it isn't), because of this quote from David Clayman, one of the reviewers from the site, "You might be able to plow through the majority of the missions in a few days, but collecting all 69 stars is nearly impossible. You'll play until your fingers are numb." Even though I got all the 69 stars in 2 days playing, along with Matheus. In general, IGN is a great site, I just think that humans are bound to make mistakes, mistakes such as putting a hockey game in the top 25's and forgetting about Gears of War 2 (which I believe is better than the first), PES 2009, and giving Braid (a mario arcade based-like game) a position in the Top 9. Braid looked a lot like a copy from the game "Super Mario" where one may find in one of those arcaic arcade game slots. Of course the graphics are better, but it seems somewhat basic. Like this:

I would also make some changes to the list... as to include Assasins Creed (number 1 and 2) in the places of the zombie type games. I would also trade positions the hockey game for the NBA 10 or 2k9, since basketball has a much bigger audience than hockey does.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2: Stimulus Map Pack
First of all, I know this title is enormous, but if I were to abreviate it, most people wouldn't understand. As I said in a previous post, I love playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, and now there is a new release for new maps. The Stimulus Map Pack. This pack includes 5 new maps, 3 of them being completely new, and 2 of them being extracted from the previous version of Modern Warfare (CoD4). Even though 5 maps might sound little, it must be taken into consideration that the game itself has a total of 15 maps, 5 new maps is a big difference. From what I have seen from the new maps, they look very interesting and very original.
Since the topic is maps, here is my list of Top10 maps of the game:
1. Highrise (best map ever!)
2. Terminal
3. Sub Base
4. Skidrow
5. Karachi
6. Quarry
7. Favela
8. Afghan
9. Rundown
10. Derail
However, when I buy my new pc (with a great video card) I will be able to play better in other maps, so my opinion might change...

Rohan BLOOD FEUD (Part 2)
I am not the only one in the grade that plays Rohan. As a matter a fact, most guys from the grade have tried it (Caio, Felipe, Kevin, Filipe, J.P., Lucas, Daniel, Matheus), but only the most experienced and skilled players have prevailed ( Me, Caio, J.P.). Even so, we need each other's help through the game, for it truly is a hard game to beat. What made me continue playing this game, instead of quitting like the others have, was the challenge I did with myself, to surpass J.P.'s cousin's level in the game. What also made me continue, was the fact that I was already a bit higher in level than the rest from my grade, and that I loved the game so much.
The game has an amazing graphic display, much better than the previous rpg's that I have played before (Pristontale, Angels Online, etc.). It also has many little details that improve the game display and movement. Details such as mounts (spiders, wolves, horses, and even boars) help you move through the game more quickly and pets (lions, bears, and even tigers) help you fight by giving you a bit of extra power. The game is very pvp rounded, but to get to the higher levels and to start fighting it does take a long time. I myself have played this game for about 10 months and I only have a character level 78 and another level 64, being the level limit 99.
I love this game, probably my favorite rpg, but still I'm more fond of the first person shooting games such as Call of Duty and Counter Strike. That's also a reason why I'm not so strong in Rohan, I don't play as much as the other two.

Rohan BLOOD FEUD
For starters, Rohan is an online rpg (role playing game) game, which is based on the player versus player mode (pvp). In the game, players all over the world create their characters, and within the characters, are enabled to choose it's class and race. For each race in the game, there are two possible classes, and they are the following;
- Human- They are the characters with highest base life and defense, they are melee based race, and they can become Defenders (which are strength based or vitality based) or Guardians (Dexterity, strength, or hybrid builds)
- Elf- They are healing based characters, however, whenever they get to level 50, the player can choose to make the character a priest (healing based) or a templar (pvp based) which is the strongest class of the game.
- Dhans- They are the rouges of the game, they were meant to be assasins, and probably are the best 1 vs 1 characters in the game. They can become avengers or predadors, not many differences between them other than the skills, still, most people prefer avengers.
- Dark Elf- They are the mages of the game. They have the worst physical defense and melee attack, yet, they have the best magical defense (not very usefull since they are the only magic attack based characters) they can become wizards (based in fighting monsters) or warlocks (based in fighting other people)
- Dekans- In my humble opinion, they are the most creative race I have ever seen, they can evolve into dragons, and they have the ability to heal themselves and convert mana into life, they are blue, and they can become sages or knights, which depend on the build of the player's choice, inteligence or strength, if he chooses vitality build, both are applicable.
- Half Elf- They are the archers of the game, they are faster than all the races, expecially when they use "Winged Foot" that duplicates their mobility. Rangers are the mainly chosen class, because scouts don't really help much, and rangers are stronger in pvp.
