Assassin's Creed 2

An introductory from Gamespot;
"Like in the first game, Assassin's Creed II occurs across two timelines: a modern-day chronology starring bartender Desmond Miles, and another featuring one of Desmond's ancestors. When you start the game, you'll catch up with Desmond right where the original left him, though as fans of the original can guess, the Abstergo labs are no longer a safe haven. You'll spend a bit of time with Desmond during the course of the game, though the shoes you most frequently fill are those of Ezio Auditore di Firenze, the charmingly impetuous son of a 15th-century Italian banker. Ezio is an instantly likable firebrand, as passionate about family and honor as he is about wine and women. When you first meet him, Ezio is living a carefree life and has not yet donned his assassin's robe, nor is he familiar with the creed. However, Ezio's devil-may-care freedom is soon cut short by murder and betrayal instigated by the assassins' greatest threat: the Templars. "

I have played Assassin's Creed 1, and I found that it is very fun. The gameplay is very vast, enabling you to do many things other than simply the objectives. It has a gameplay similar to GTA's where the main character Desmond, may do many diferent actions. I enjoyed the game very much

From the reviews I read, and also based on the grade given by the site, apparently AC2 (Assassin's Creed 2) has surpassed and exceeded the quality of its first game. I hope to play it soon.

Call of Duty 4

First of all, this is one of the best games ever made in history of XBOX 360 ! It has one of the best graphics in the game world. Many players enjoy this game and are waiting for the next game of the saga. This first person shooting game has provided a lot of entertainment and thrill for the players. In the game, players are able to kill, massacrate and destroy arabs and nazis.
In my opinior, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 will be one of the best games in all time. It will provide the player with everything he ever desired in a game.

PES 2009 (Pro Evolution Soccer)

I know that the game isn't a new game, nor a new release, but since it is one of the games I play the most, I felt like showing to everyone what a brilliant game it is.

For starters, the PES 2009, is a soccer game which can be played in PS2 (Playstation 2) Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii. PES always competes with FIFA to see which game is the best. Normally, PES has beat his competitor, but in the past year, FIFA has surprised everyone by exceding the expectatives.

PES 2009 is a soccer game, in which you can play online, with a friend, or with the CPU of the console. There are many types of games if you want to play with the CPU, like UEFA Champions League, and Be a Legend. The game has very few mistakes towards graphics and bugs, but like any other game, it is not perfect. The playability is MUCH better than his succesor *PES 2007-2008* and exceeds in graphics too. The only thing I think could be better, is the exceeded amount of ability they atribute to some players, like Ronaldinho and Henry, who today are getting kind of old...

CS 1.6 or Source?

Matheus made me remember about the big dispute between which two games are better; Counter Strike Source or Counter Strike 1.6. Even though Counter Strike Source is newer than 1.6, still more people play 1.6. It may be the fact that in CS 1.6, you can easily download it anywhere in the internet, while in Source it is much harder to do so, since from what I know, the only way to play it, is to buyt it. It may also be the fact that CSS took a while to launch, and as a result, many people who started with 1.6, gave up in even trying to play CSS. I will state the differences between both:
CSS:
Better graphics
Better quality in motion
Better resolution
Better sound quality
Heavier size for PC
Lower amount of people playing

CS 1.6:
Better playability
Higher amount of people playing
Light for the PC
Easier to control weapons

I believe that I might have left somethings out, because I'm not a regular player of CS 1.6, but from the few times that I have played 1.6, I think CSS is WAY better! Of course, it's a matter of opinion.

My Favorite Game of All Time: CSS

CSS (Counter Strike Source) is my favorite game of all times. Not only I loved it as a game, I have played it for over two years. Over the years, I have gained experience and with that, came the accomplishments, such as 5th in Targetdown Clan championship, 2nd in Fast Cup, and 1st in EltBr cup. Of course, I played a lot of championships before these ones until I started winning, but I am proud of winning these championships.

To make people understand what championship game of css is, I will explain what exactly it is. First of all, css is a first person shooting game. Inside the game, your team chooses a side, terrorist or ct (counter terrorist). Then, after both teams having decided which sides they want to start with, the game starts. The game is normally five versus five, and every team has their own tactics, since its online, people talk with each other on microfones or by typing to the team, what tactic they are going to use. The way to win a game is for the team to score 16 points total (winning 16 rounds), although after 15 rounds the sides switch, and each team has to play in both sides (the scores don't reset). To score a point, your team has to kill everyone from the other team, or they have to do the objective. For terrorists to win by their objective, they have to plant a c4 in one of the two bombsites of the map, and they can't let the counter-terrorist defuse it. For the counter-terrorists to win by their objective, they have to make the terrorists take more than the round time to plant the bomb, or when it's planted, they need to defuse it.

Normally this type of game is played by clans, which are formed by people who believe they have a shot at a championship, and so they make their own team, and start practicing.

Terra's Top 10

The website Terra.com.br, made a list of their top 10 games in history. Some of them I believe can be controversial, since not all of them are played by many people. Although, from the 10, 8 of them are hit successes. The 10 games are; GTA (Grand Theft Auto), Resident Evil, Mario, Sonic, Tetris, Street Fighter, Counter Strike, Gears of War, Winnning Eleven, and The Sims. I believe than anyone that has some sense of the games of today know these 10 games, might have not played them, but has certainly heard of them. Gears of War and Resident Evil aren't at the top of the list from amount of people playing them, but certainly are at the quality list, and that's why these are there.

My Opinion:

I believe that all of these games are quite good, and as result of that, thousands of people play them. I do think that some games such as counter strike, mario, winnning eleven, and GTA should be there... but games like The Sims and Resident Evil on the other hand, I disagree. Overall, most of it is right, and I do LOVE counter strike!

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2

Ninja Gaiden 2, was made only for xbox360... but since the PS3 wanted to have their own copy for the game, they got the original game, made some arrangedments based on the mistakes from the xbox version, and make their own Ninja Gaiden for PS3. Ninja Gaiden 2 is a game, in which the main character, Hayabusa, is a ninja with many skills which make it possible for him to annihilate his oponents until he reaches his goal. In the second "episode" of the saga, his goal is to retrieve his girlfriend which was kidnapped by the villain of the game. Along his journey, he ecounters many bosses which he has to kill so they will lead him to the main villain. Compared with the first edition of the game, this one has bloodier fights, much better graphics (which partly is because xbox360 has better quality graphics than the old one), and some details of the game such as stratiegic checkpoint locations.

I have the Ninja Gaiden 2 for Xbox 360, and I love it. Although I think it has great graphics and game display, I find the game quite impossible at some parts, which I normally look somewhere in the internet to help me pass that part. Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma, apperently lowered the level of the game, so less people like me have to spend their time looking for walkthroughs on the internet and more time actually playing it. I think the game is very well done and very fun, except for the part in dificulty...

Halo 3: ODST

To summerize the new game Helo 3: ODST, I took a summary from http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/halo3untitledodstgame/review.html?om_act=convert&om_clk=gssummary&tag=summary;read-review:
" In Halo 3: ODST, you wake up all alone in a hostile city. Pockets of enemies are hiding in the nearly pitch-black environment and your allies are nowhere to be found. In the opening moments of Halo 3: ODST, you are vulnerable and aimless--two elements that have never been explored in a Halo game before. These quiet, moody scenes flow into the spirited, high-energy battles the franchise is known for, but this feeling of desolation never fully dissolves. ODST is an awesome entry in the franchise because it not only showcases the elements that have made previous games in the series so explosively fun, but it also introduces a handful of new ideas that add a unique spin on the classic formula. The most exhilarating of the new features is the Firefight mode, a cooperative battle against a never-ending swarm of covenant soldiers that is as intense and rewarding as anything that has appeared in the series. Whether you love the solitude of the single-player campaign, the camaraderie of cooperative encounters, or the blood lust of multiplayer competition, Halo 3: ODST is a fantastic package. "

My opinion:

I myself enjoyed very much the Halo 3, and believe that ODST is a good incrementation to it. ODST includes and shows new materials of the game, such as the Firefight mode, and the continuation of the story. I have beat the whole game of halo over and over again (if I was to count, I would say about 8 times), since I loved it. Reviewers of the game say that comparing with the anterior one, it has improved multiplayer campain, and maps. I think that since the first Halo, it has always been a success, and I think ODST will be the same way.

Need For Speed Shift

In the first editions of "Need for Speed" the games were a success, like "Need for Speed Underground" and "Need for Speed Most Wanted". Recently, the newer versions left the users wanting more of the old success. Need for Speed Carbon and now the new one, Need for Speed Shift, aren't barely as good as their anteriors. I myself have and love Need for Speed Most Wanted, and when I tried to play the next one (Carbon) I hated it.

In Need for Speed Shift, is a racing game that tries to do a lot of things, and the good news is that it does most of them well. The bad news is that Shift does very little that other racers haven't done before it, and it excels at nothing. The racing, the car and track selections, the vehicle customization and damage modeling, the career mode, the online play, the opponent AI--all of these things are good, but none of them are great.

Like in the other games, you play as your own character and go buying cars and making them better to race against other street racers. I love race games, and I enjoy the graffics of the game, but I think EA Games should take more time into doing the game, instead of rushing through it to make more amount of games.

Batman: Arkham Asylum

Based on the hit sucess film "The Dark Knight" by Christopher Nolan, the game Batman: Arkham Asylum is a new and very high rated game. As Gamespot.com says, "You don't have to be a Batman fan to enjoy the game". The game talks more about the asylum, in which the film only barely speaks about. It is a place where is essentially Gotham City's Alcatraz, and it has housed just about every villain Batman has ever tangled with at one time or another.

I think that most people think of batman as "just another children's super hero" and think of it as being childish. However, the last films from batman like "The Dark Knight" and "Batman Begins" actracted an audience of all ages. Yet, many people have some kind of prejudice towards it. I believe it is NOT intended for little children, for the mild violence and strong scenes... I think it's a great game (and the film is also amazing).

The new Guitar Hero 5

The new Guitar Hero 5 is going to have a whole new pack of songs available for the game, and the main difference from it and Guitar Hero 4, is that there is a new Party Play mode, making it easier to play with a lot of friends together. It is so new, that it still doesn't have a set date of release on the market, but it is expected to be sold by next year.

Avatar, the New 3D Videogame

The new game called Avatar, based on the 3D film from James Cameron, is one the most expected games of the year. The game's setting is at year 2035 at a planet called Pandora. It is going to be one of the first 3D games intended to be sold for all new consoles (xbox360, ps3, Wii). The plot is about a guy called Jake Sully, a paralysed ex-marine who finds out that his brother had been part of a clandestine military operation. I believe this is gonna be a great game for everyone!
